Radio Cabinet Turned Entry Table

Auctions are our favorite places to find junk treasures! You would think that the regulars would recognize the potential in this solid wood vintage radio cabinet. Too bad for them, we took her home knowing she was destined for greatness.... ;)

Okay so she needed some help but when do I ever turn away from a challenge?
Annie Sloan Chalk paint to the rescue!

The bottom was painted in Graphite Chalk Paint and the top was stained in Ebony by Minwax.
Her new owner Debbie loved the original lion head hardware and decided to keep it. She went with burlap in the bottom insert.

And here is the final product!

I am so happy that this little radio cabinet now shines in her new spot in Debbie's entryway!

Back in Black! China Cabinet Makeover

My husband and I snatched up this cute little china hutch at an Estate Sale earlier in the summer. I definitely  screamed for a makeover!

Jennifer from Roanoke had the perfect space for it! She envisioned Antique black with a red peeking thru the distressing!
I used Annie Sloan Chalk Paint in Emperors Silk for the undercoat and Graphite (Black) for the top coat. It distressed beautifully! Check her out...

I added some red toile fabric to the drawer bottoms.  LUV ME SOME TOILE!

It looked fabulous against her red wall in the dining room!
Did I mention that I LOVE CHALK PAINT?
